Our bases

Helsingin Melojat has two kayaking bases in Helsinki. One is located on the Rajasaari island in Western Helsinki and the other in Eastern Helsinki on Mustikkamaa island.

HeMe's two bases allow for a versatile exploration of the magnificent sea in both the East and the West of Helsinki. The bases are maintained by the collective effort, which is a great way to get to know the other members of the club.  Members can redeem the key to the bases against a deposit.

When winter comes, paddling continues in the monthly practices at the Kauniainen Swimming Pool. During the winter, we also repair our kayaking and canoying equipment at a repair workshop at the Hietalahti district.
